This hands-on lab provides an overview of the key new features of Windows Server 2012 R2.

This course is intended for Microsoft partners whose business is managing and administering their customers' computers and IT pros who do the same for their organization.

Hands-On Lab Outline

Exercise 1: Managing Windows Server 2012 R2
This module is a lab in which students will learn how to configure work folders and web application proxy. They will also learn how to manage Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), and use Windows PowerShell to manage Windows Server 2012 R2.

Exercise 2: Implementing and Managing IPAM
This module is a lab in which students will learn how to deploy IPAM, and use it to manage IP addresses and name resolution. They will also learn how to perform Server Discovery.

Exercise 3: Configuring New Hyper-V Features in Windows Server 2012 R2
This module is a lab in which students will learn how to deploy virtual hard disk sharing. They will learn how to use Virtual Switch Manager, manage Hyper-V, and configure Hyper-V Replica.

Requisitos

This course requires that students meet the following prerequisites:
_ Working experience and background knowledge of Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Vista or Windows 7, Windows 8, and Hyper-V.
_ Basic understanding of AD DS, DNS, DHCP, and general networking and storage technologies.
